Kimberly began teaching private flute lessons prior to receiving her flute performance degree from the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, MD. Since graduating, she has been teaching flute instruction on the faculties of Salisbury University, St. Mary’s College of Maryland, Anne Arundel Community College, the Peabody Preparatory of Music, the Annapolis Symphony Academy, and the Apex Performing & Visual Arts magnet program in Anne Arundel County, MD. In addition, Kimberly teaches in-person private flute lessons from her studio in the Annapolis, MD, Anne Arundel County area and provides online virtual flute lessons and instruction.
She has conducted masterclasses at Frostburg University, Southern Delaware School for the Arts, and the Mid Atlantic Flute Convention as well as adjudicating Maryland All State Auditions and Maryland State Solo and Ensemble Festival.
Kimberly’s students consistently win first place honors in Solo and Ensemble, All State Band, and All County Band festivals. In addition, she has had several first place winners in the Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra concerto competition. Kimberly’s students have graduated and moved on to study in the Brevard College Music Program, the University of Maryland School of Music, UNC School of Music at Chapel Hill, and Interlochen Arts Academy.
